Heavy-duty biomass boilers
Wood-Fired Water Heater
Heavy-duty, low-smoke wood-fired boilers for industrial applications and large-scale water heating needs.
- Capacity 500 L – 5000 L
- Efficiency Up to 85%
- Fuel Wood / biomass

Overview
A wood-fired water heater burns wood or biomass to heat large volumes of water economically — a proven, low-cost solution for industry and institutions with access to cheap solid fuel. With efficient combustion and a heavy heat-exchange boiler, it turns locally available biomass into bulk hot water and process heat.
Surya Urja’s heavy-duty, low-smoke wood-fired boilers are built for continuous industrial duty in capacities from 500 to 5000 litres and beyond, reaching efficiencies up to about 85% with proper draft and dry fuel.
Highlights
Why it stands out
The engineering details that make the Wood-Fired Water Heater a dependable, long-term choice.
Lowest fuel cost
Wood and agro-biomass are among the cheapest fuels — ideal where solid fuel is plentiful.
Heavy-duty boiler
Thick heat-exchange surfaces and a robust firebox built for round-the-clock industrial use.
Up to ~85% efficiency
Optimised combustion and draft extract maximum heat from every kilogram of fuel.
Low-smoke design
An improved firebox and controlled air reduce smoke versus a traditional bhatti.
Large capacity
500 L to 5000 L+ — sized for factories, dyeing units, canteens and community needs.
Biomass flexible
Runs on seasoned wood, briquettes and many agricultural residues.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Why choose wood-fired over gas or electric?
Where biomass is cheap and available, running cost is the lowest of any option — attractive for fuel-intensive industry.
Is it very smoky?
Our low-smoke firebox and controlled draft burn far cleaner than a traditional bhatti, though some venting is always required.
What can I burn?
Seasoned wood, briquettes and many agricultural residues. Drier fuel gives higher efficiency and less smoke.
What maintenance does it need?
Periodic ash removal, flue cleaning and an annual inspection of the heat exchanger and controls.
